Heh

Even though it's been 8 years since, I've never forgot the main theme, ever. Amelie was one of those movies that reach out and touch you. Great re-make, max score for yu.

mjattie responds:

hey thanks :)

by the way, you're the 100th person that has added me to his favourite artist list, thanks for that :)

Excellent.

I could vividly picture the American soldiers of WW2 on their last day of war. Thousands of men who fought against the German War machine, and again Japan's forces; their faces dirty and grimy, but the all-too familiar flicker of joy in their eyes; All of them listening excitedly to the radio, where announcers spread the news, a beacon of light and happiness for all of the men, enthusiastic rookies and hardened veterans alike: "The war is over! Our brave soldiers may now return home to their beloved families and children! It is a great day indeed!". They smile, as they are heading towards the planes and ships that will take them to their homeland. The war has ended. Good has prevailed once more, but with a dearly cost - you can see that in their eyes. Now comes peace and happiness. Star-spangled flags flutter in the wind as ships and planes head into the sunset and towards America.

Great musical piece, you have a talent that could greatly help you in your life, if the right person hears this. You get maximum score from me - but only because the limits are 10 and 5 respectively.

Man, sometimes people write reviews more artistically than my music... damn...

Thanx for review, left me quite speechless.

...

There are few worlds that could properly describe this piece. I could feel the death, the pain, the suffering...the void. Felt as if I woke up from a terrible nightmare, sighed in the relief, but then raised my head and found myself gazing at a fiery wasteland that laid before me as far as the eye can see, at black horizon with a bloodred moon casting its unholy light over a sea of bones and cadavers, the chilling shrieks of ghouls and banished souls echoing in the night like bloodthirsty calls for revenge and laments of pain - the world lies crumbled and turned into hell, and I alone am the only to bear witness to the horrors. Greaat song, has a deeply suggestive dark theme to it, and gives the listener the chance to build a maental image according to the emotions expressed by the song.

popraz responds:

Awesome imagery ! And very close to my ideas for the song too. I'm happy you liked it and took the time to write this great review. Thank you !

Hmmm...

I won't fight my way out, I'm already a batshit crazy, sick-minded guy. Not to mention there will be a CD-player with this song somewhere in thh cathedral, and I'll stay there and listen to it continually. Epic Job. Greetings from RO :)

popraz responds:

Salutari ! Glad you liked it !

HELL FUCKING YES

This thing made me fucking happy to be up late 4 hours after everyone in my messenger list has signed out, drinking a cup of extra-strong coffee and playing Burnout Paradise.

giftedbuttwisted responds:

Haha coffee+Burnout=fun XD

Great

Sounds great, really an one-of-a-kind piece in my book. Has an overall sense of calmness with a melancholic accent put to it, and had some subtle changes to it - the one I noted best was from 0:32 to 0:44; The relaxing, melancholic tune faded away and got replaced with a more ... "dark" sound; it gives a rather eerie impression that there's a negative disturbance, there's something happening that shouldn't normally do, but you can't see what or where. Sort of like you're walking alone in a country field at sunset, and you feel like someone's behind you, like you're being watched, but when you turn around there's nothing there. Don't get me wrong, I'm not poointing it out as a flaw, I'm pointing it out as a well-placed change that gives diversity and character to your tune. Anyways, great job, this is definitely going in my faves.

paravindskey responds:

Thank you! Soon I'll submit new song in my opinion even better

=D glad ya like it!

good but...

It doesn't quite match a desert setting. The flute and the beat remind me of Amerindian music, which implicitly reminjds me of Aztecs, Mayans and the Inca, and points towards a more tropical setting, a dense jungle to be more precise. My personal opinion would be that a title like "Temple of The Sun" or "Call of The Jungle" would fit it much better. Other than that, I've got nothing else to criticize. One thing is for sure, I'd very much like to hear this tune as the main song in Totem Destroyer 3. Mighty fine job, keep going.

Tombor911 responds:

Haha thanks! This review means a lot to me!! not just saying its awesome or fits the setting. You gave me useful feedback and that is so important to me.
Thanks a lot!!!

makes me think...

After the title I already expected a quiet, meditative and nostalgic tune, but nothing like this. There's nothing to criticize about this song, because it sends out its message and emotion to the user perfectly. I shed a couple of tears while listening to it. Made me want to go outside on a quiet night, far away from the city lights and all the madness of today's society, go lie down on a grassy hill and just look at the radiant full moon and the starry sky and think about my life and whats around me. All the sad things that happened that I didn't wish for...the things and people that have been taken away from me when I least expected it and when I needed them most; all the things I could have done and changed about myself, but got caught by the ever-tightening grasp of today's chaotic society and never managed to achieve them; all these years I've been alone having to fend off for myself instead of living a normal, happy life with my loved ones like most people do; and much more questions I have that seek an answer... I've asked myself, and even Him "why?"... but there is only silence, and I'm still waiting, and will be - until I either receive my rightful answers, or until it's my turn to go. Fate's like an ocean in the middle of a furious storm, you never know when things will go for better of for worse, but you got to make your way - giving up hope didn't save anyone. Hell, I might have been tripped alot, but I'm always going to get up, spit the grit out and keep on going - I don't plan to stop until I'm 6 feet under. But then again, it's said that every being has its own predetermined fate, so maybe I'll one day find out why I ended up in the middle of the storm. Pshaw, I started rambling again...I should go to sleep now.

Anyhow, you make great music, you put heart and soul into every note. I hope you will make more tunes like this one, the AP needs people like you. Sometimes the solution to even the hardest, most daunting problem can be found simply by sitting down, listening to a piece like this and just thinking, piecing together the puzzle.

Have a nice day,
